Campo Dumestre is an agricultural land division and conservation project located in the town of Puerto Natales, in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region. It offers excellent year-round connectivity to Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine National Park, and the surrounding areas.

• Just 10 minutes from the city, with access to a wide range of tourist attractions, restaurants, and services.

• 20 minutes from the airport, with regular year-round commercial flights to and from Santiago and Puerto Montt.

• 1 hour and 10 minutes from Torres del Paine National Park and its renowned scenic and tourist attractions, accessible both by land and sea.

Land division

The land division project consists of an initial phase featuring 36 agricultural plots, each measuring 5,000 square meters. These plots are situated on three livestock plateaus that slope down towards the Señoret Channel, providing panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountain ranges, including Cerro Ballena, Sierra Prat, the Paine Massif, Cerro Dorotea, and the Argentinean mountain range.

All plots can be equipped with underground electricity and water connections. Each owner arranges these services through a civil works mandate granted to Corporación Campo Dumestre at the time of purchase. Corporación Campo Dumestre will then act on the owner’s behalf, coordinating third-party specialists to carry out the work according to a predefined budget and established technical standards.

Every plot is governed by an easement regime managed by Corporación Campo Dumestre. This guarantees the consistent upholding of principles related to biodiversity protection and promotion, as well as responsible rural habitation within Campo Dumestre.

Campo Dumestre promotes the creation of livable shelters that harmoniously integrate nature, architecture, and residents, while showing deep respect for the local flora and fauna. Each plot has designated buildable areas, and the buildings are linked by walkways specifically designed to minimize their impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Conservation

Corporación Campo Dumestre is responsible for the legal and operational management of the project through a system of usufructs and registered easements affecting each plot. These easements include grazing rights, designated building zones, protected areas, view corridors, height restrictions, and more. This approach ensures that the protection and promotion of the area's biodiversity are harmonized with the possibility of living there respectfully and responsibly. When a person acquires a plot, they automatically become a member of the Corporation and are required to pay a monthly operating fee in accordance with the Corporation's statutes.

Currently, Corporación Campo Dumestre, with support from renowned local experts, is developing an inventory of the area's flora and fauna over the four seasons, from June 2025 to May 2026. This project is utilizing a network of camera traps and conducting fortnightly observations. Based on the findings from this inventory, we will design a network of trails, viewpoints, groves, and waterholes to highlight the region's natural attractions. Additionally, we will implement measures to restore, regenerate, and protect the local ecosystem. Below, we share a summary of interesting findings regarding the flora and fauna at Campo Dumestre.

Team

The daily management of Campo Dumestre is handled by a team of dedicated professionals who report directly to the Board of Directors of Corporación Campo Dumestre. Their mission is to ensure that the guiding principles are consistently upheld, particularly regarding land division and conservation efforts.

Communication with Campo Dumestre owners and residents is channeled through the Manager in Charge, and a monthly newsletter is distributed with news and updates to keep them closely connected and involved with the project.
